Preparing your skin helps support a safer treatment and predictable recovery.
- Avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure before treatment.
- Use SPF 50+ daily and keep the treatment area protected from UV exposure.
- Avoid irritating or aggressive skincare on the treatment area in the days leading up to your appointment.
- Tell us about medications,

Your skin needs time to respond, recover and remodel.
- Protect the treated area from UV exposure and use SPF 50+ as directed.
- Keep your skincare simple and gentle during the initial healing period.
- Avoid picking, scratching or removing flaking, crusting or darkened pigment—allow it to resolve naturally.
- Temporarily avoid retinoids, exfoliatin

Depending on the treatment mode and intensity, temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity, mild swelling or darkening of treated pigment may occur. Fractional treatments and tattoo removal can have a different recovery pattern from toning or targeted pigment treatment.
Aftercare isn't an optional extra - it is part of your treatment.

The laser doesn’t decide your treatment. Your skin does.
Two pigmentation concerns can look similar on the surface but differ in depth, cause and behaviour. Likewise, concerns such as fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scarring or tattoo pigment require different treatment strategies.
Your assessment helps us consider your skin type, skin condition, pigmentation pattern, treatment history and individual goals before selecting the most appropriate True Pico approach.
This determines whether your treatment may involve Targeted Pico, Fractional Pico Skin Renewal, Fractional Pico Surface or Deep treatment, Pico Toning—or another treatment altogether.
